Podcast Consent Form

Thank you for recording a podcast with UBC Community Engagement.

These podcasts are produced to spotlight reciprocal partnerships between UBC and community partners across British Columbia. Through open conversations, we aim to share insights, experiences, and strategies that support ethical community-university collaboration and amplify diverse voices.

Podcasts will not be heavily edited; the intent is to preserve the integrity of the conversation. Post-production may include minor noise reduction, audio leveling, and the addition of brief introductions and outros to contextualize each episode.

Episodes will be distributed through the following public platforms:

Spotify and Apple Podcasts
UBC Library’s cIRcle Repository
UBC websites, newsletters, and social media channels

In addition to the audio recording, each episode will also be published as a blog post on communityengagement.ubc.ca with the full transcript to ensure accessibility. It is not uncommon for our podcasts to be featured on the front page of ubc.ca. Please feel free to share the final episode through your own networks as well.

Before publication, you will have two opportunities to review the content:

Initial review: You will receive the edited conversation along with a script of the proposed introduction before it’s recorded.
Final review: You will receive the complete podcast and accompanying blog post, including your initial edits and the recorded intro/outro, for final approval.

You may request changes at either stage. You may also request that the podcast be removed from public platforms at any time, for any reason.
