Community Engagement Network: “Meet Up at MOA”

  • Date: Tuesday, September 24th, 2024
  • Time: 10:00 am – 11:00 am (PDT)
  • Location: Cedar Café at MOA (Museum of Anthropology)

Come have a coffee (or tea) and meet your peers who lead and support community-university engagement at UBCV! The “meet-up” will be a great opportunity to network, share what you do, find others who do similar work, and discuss what community engagement work you have planned this academic year.

Coffee and tea will be provided.

Why Should You Attend?

  • To build your network and (re-)connect with UBC colleagues in the community-university engagement space
  • To learn and share about any new and exciting community engagement initiatives underway
  • To enjoy a free cup of tea or coffee from Indigenous-owned and operated Cedar Café. You can buy yourself breakfast or a nice treat while you’re there!
  • To visit the Museum of Anthropology. Their current exhibits are multimedia and contain both audio and visual elements, and are great experiences for self-guided visits, so save some time to wander in the museum!

A note to UBCO colleagues: the Okanagan meet up will take place on October 2, 2024 and will be combined with a Stories of Partnership event.

The Community Engagement Network aims to build a sense of community among staff at UBC who work with external community partners.
