Whether you represent a community organization or group, are a faculty member, student or staff at UBC, live on campus or are a member of the community, there are myriad ways to engage with UBC.
Here are some ways to get started:
For Community Partners
Visit the Community Help Desk! Like a virtual concierge service for community partners, Help Desk can help you navigate the university and access the people and resources that will support your work.
Visit the Student Services page of the Centre for Community Engaged Learning (CCEL). CCEL can help you connect with community-based opportunities to learn, participate, and collaborate on projects in the community.
Join the Community Engagement Network. This network of more than 150 professionals across campus connects via a virtual platform and meets periodically to learn from each other, share information and resources, and build community amongst engagement-focussed UBC staff.
Check out the Awards & Funding page for upcoming funds that might support your work, and browse the Campus Engagement Directory to find other faculty-based initiatives, units and departments that support community-engaged scholarship.
Be inspired by Engagement Stories about community-based collaborations on both UBC campuses. And get involved in UBC’s many Events & Activities, both on campus and in community.
