“When I was working on a CIHR Catalyst Grant application I wanted to connect with a UBC researcher and needed help finding someone with relevant expertise. I reached out to Community Partner Help Desk, whom I had met through the United Way Public Policy Institute. I really feel that the Community Engagement team’s work in connecting us to a professor in the School of Nursing gave us an edge in the project development as well as application processes. We were awarded the grant and are collaborating with a number of partners including UBC, SFU, 10+ community organizations and patient partners on the research project.”

“Thank you so much for letting us know about the Sustainability Scholars Project. It was such a positive and fruitful experience for us! It was a pleasure to work with a UBC grad student on a project related to sustainable approaches to leadership to support a feminist economic recovery. Thank you for bringing us into this opportunity.”
